Ammonite Pewter Earrings – pewter earrings, with surgical steel hooks, in an Ammonite design, which are hand-made by artisans and hand finished by LadyCrow.
Size of Earrings: Drop from top of Hook: a little over 3cms. Ammonites: depth approx. 2cms; width: 1.5cms

Pewter is an old tin based alloy, traces of which have been found in the remains of ancient Rome and Egypt. The ancient form of Pewter was different from the modern form in that it contained lead.
In Britain pewter was used – only by the very wealthy, as long ago as the 11th Century. In Medieval times, becoming more affordable, it was widely used for domestic purposes, replacing pottery and wood as tableware.
Ladycrow Pewter is made with re-cycled tin and is lead free.
